The name "Bethany" reflects its aim. Bethany being the place that was a haven of rest and peace for Jesus and was the home of his friends, Mary, Martha and Lazarus.

Bethany Healing Centre will provide a safe place where people over 18 going through emotionally difficult times in their lives can find help and refuge from the pressures of life in a loving, supportive and peaceful environment. It is run by people who are Christian but the service will be open to all with no religious pressure at all. Our aim is to eventually own our own residential centre. Meanwhile we are seeking property so that Bethany Healing Centre can offer more regular support.

The project is run by a voluntary team of Christians. We have professional qualifications in the fields of counselling, psychotherapy and complimentary therapies.
